A Quarter Century

Where to start... Last night was quite possibly the most fun I've had in a LONG time. I typically like to throw my own parties just because I like to know that everything I want to happen is going to... or because I'm a control freak and like things perfect. Well this year I just didn't feel like doing it. I told all my friends I was just gonna wing my birthday plans. Maybe go to a bar & have a few beers, whatever. Well they all put their minds together & collaborated on a badass GREEN party!! By the time we pulled up to the house I knew where we were, even though I was blindfolded with Kristi's sports bra. I used my amazing sense of direction to keep up with every turn in my head. Although I knew where we were, my mind couldn't even begin to fathom the amount of effort these guys put into decorating. The walls were covered in Green butcher paper, and the lights were eclipsed by shades of green balloons dangled from the ceiling. I was so overwhelmed!! I had a 6 pack of Newcastle waiting for me in the fridge & all my friends draped in the green shirts they had purchased specifically for this event. I guess not everyone has as much green apparel as I do. I had on my green polo, green chucks, green watch, & even green contacts. What can I say, I'm dedicated!  The girls made me a green cake (inside & out) topped with one dollar bills with my face photoshopped on them, courtesy of Mrs Burnett. I started the night off by being "iced" with a GREEN apple Smirnoff, and ended the night after being "iced" for the 5th time... I had taken 6 shots of rum on the blind folded ride over, so my ability to dodge these for-mentioned Smirnoff's was a little off. I got chocolate-wasted to say the least.  Literally the only thing that I could say went wrong last night was the fact that UH's Heisman hopeful starting quarter back tore his ACL & is out for the season. Not only is he out, but the back up QB (from Dulles HS) broke his collar bone shortly after. I hate to be negative but our 3rd string QB is not the best, and we can most likely kiss any chance at a winning season goodbye. Oh well enough about that, I'm starting to tear up again, just kidding, but really. To finish off the weekend, I had my close friends and ENTIRE family over for dinner. My pops & I grilled the dove I shot last weekend, and some fajitas too. Mom made tortillas and german chocolate cake! I finally feel sober again and definitely wont be drinking that much again anytime soon. Oh and I sat on Jamie's digital camera last night and now I get to buy her a new one... AWESOME! Oh well, back to the grind tomorrow, these computers aren't gonna fix themselves!
